At Sticks and Stones we have a personal commitment to renovations that are both affordable and environmentally friendly. We always recommend the use of materials that are not only aesthetically pleasing and durable, but also non-toxic, locally or regionally produced when available, recycled and reclaimed if possible, and sourced from responsible vendors.
We can help you develop a design that will achieve your renovation goals with the lowest impact on your current home as possible. We offer a complete design service that ranges from on-site pencil sketches to 3D computer modeling and CAD plans of your ideas. Before beginning a project there is meticulous planning in order to maximize the effectiveness of the building process and to minimize down time – including materials selections and sourcing, demolition coordination, waste removal, and the coordination for safe application of necessary finishes.
We always strive to limit exposure to harmful vapors (or VOC’s) and dust, as well as being sensitive in dealing with older homes and using lead safe work practices. While a job is in progress we use active filtration devices for both dust and VOC’s. We work hard to minimize trash that will visit a landfill and we recycle – removing both from the job site regularly.
